Transport

The transport sector is evolving rapidly. Innovative solutions are required to integrate new short-distance transport technologies into our lives and stimulate competition between them. For long-distance transport, we must ensure that transport operators are granted non-discriminatory access to essential facilities that allows infrastructure operators to recover their costs.

We provide economic advice related to questions of regulation and competition in rail, road and aviation.

Price and access regulation. We provide advice during the design process of price and access regulation for rail networks and airports. We understand the close interplay between incentives for innovation and efficiency as well as outcomes for travelers.

Impact assessments and demand forecasting. We use established economic concepts and quantitative methods to estimate the impact and effects of future technologies and regulations on the transport sector. Our analyses help to communicate your point of view to industry experts and bystanders in an effective and convincing manner.

Proceedings of competition authorities. We help to formulate compelling lines of argumentation to support you in proceedings such as exclusionary and exploitative practices.
